James McGourlay
James McGourlay is currently serving as Interim CEO at OpenText. opentext.com. He joined the company in 1997 and has led international sales and customer operations, driving growth across diverse markets. James McGourlay joined OpenText in 1997 and has held numerous leadership positions across sales, customer operations, IT, technical support, product support, and special projects. He served as Executive Vice President of International Sales since 2021, leading teams in Asia, Japan, Latin America, and emerging markets. McGourlay was also instrumental in the company's early acquisitions and chaired the OpenText Enterprise Deployment Board until 2010. As Senior Vice President of Global Technical Services, he was responsible for technical support, renewals, customer onboarding, and professional services. He was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer in August 2025. His extensive experience across various critical functions positions him to lead OpenText's strategic shift towards Information Management for AI.
